Sensex up 200pts; TCS, Hindalco surge 4%

The Sensex is now up 200 points at 19,563.

Reliance Energy has zoomed 8% to Rs 1,877. Wipro has soared 7% to Rs 493.

TCS and Hindalco have surged 4% each to Rs 1,054 and Rs 193, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra has rallied 3% to Rs 754, and Bajaj Auto has advanced 2.7% to Rs 2,781.

Maruti and Ranbaxy have moved up 2.3% each to Rs 1,035 and Rs 396, respectively.

BHEL and Reliance have gained 2% each at Rs 2,736 and Rs 2,905, respectively.

Cipla, NTPC and Tata Steel are up 1.7% each at Rs 187, Rs 241 and Rs 840, respectively.

Bharti Airtel and HDFC Bank have slipped 1.8% each to Rs 922 and Rs 1,689, respectively.

ICICI Bank has shed 1.5% at Rs 1,167, and HDFC is down 1.2% at Rs 2,750.

Out of 2,775 stocks traded so far, 2,123 have advanced, 597 have declined and 55 are unchanged.
