Sensex up 201pts; breadth fairly +ve

The Sensex is now up 201 points at 19,939.

Cipla has soared 4.6% to Rs 198. Mahindra & Mahindra has surged 3% to Rs 797.

NTPC and ICICI Bank have rallied 2.7% each to Rs 251 and Rs 1,192, respectively.

Reliance Energy has gained 2% at Rs 1,927. Ranbaxy and Infosys have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 400 and Rs 1,632, respectively.

ITC, SBI and HDFC have advanced 1.5% each to Rs 196, Rs 2,420 and Rs 2,781, respectively.

Hindalco has dropped 1.8% to Rs 196.

Bajaj Auto has slipped 1.5% to Rs 2,759, and Gasim has shed 1.3% at Rs 3,750.

The market breadth is fairly positive - out of 2,782 stocks traded so far, 2,077 have advanced, 660 have declined and 45 are unchanged.
