Sensex up 202pts; RIL, ICICI extend gains

The Sensex is now up 202 points at 16,833.

The NSE Nifty is up 55 points at 4,912.

Reliance (RIL) has surged 4.6% to Rs 2,380, and ICICI Bank has rallied over 4% to Rs 1,079.

Tata Steel has moved up 1.7% to Rs 739, and Cipla has added 1.5% to Rs 189.

BHEL, Bharti Airtel and Hindustan Unilever are up over 1% each at Rs 1,920, Rs 859 and Rs 198, respectively.

TCS has slumped 3.8% to Rs 869, and Satyam has plunged 2.5% to Rs 413.

Ambuja Cements has tumbled over 3% to Rs 112, and ACC has shed 2.5% at Rs 719.

Reliance Energy has slipped 1.3% to Rs 1,562.

Out of 2,601 stocks traded so far, 2,155 have declined, 417 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
