Sensex up 203pts; Hindalco soars 6%

The Sensex is now up 203 points at 15,295.

Hindalco has zoomed 6% to Rs 174. Reliance, ACC and BHEL have soared 3% each to Rs 1,773, Rs 1,105 and Rs 1,690, respectively.

Tata Motors has rallied 2.8% to Rs 760. Ambuja Cements and Tata Steel have surged 2.5% each to Rs 130 and Rs 689, respectively.

ITC and Mahindra & Mahindra are up over 2% each to Rs 156 and Rs 820, respectively.

TCS has dropped 2% to Rs 1,138. Ranbaxy and Dr.Reddy's have shed 1.5% each to Rs 353 and Rs 672, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever has slipped 1% to Rs 204.

Out of 2,694 stocks traded so far, 1,340 have advanced, 1,266 have declined and 88 are unchanged.
