The Sensex opened 37 points highe at 9,746, but soon slipped into red to a low of 9,546 - down 200 points from the day's open. However, steady buying in realty, IT and energy stocks helped the index rebound into the positive zone.
The heavyweights, Reliance, Infosys, HDFC, ONGC and ICICI Bank, aided today's upmove. The index rallied to a high of 9,922 - up 376 points from the day's low. The Sensex finally (provisional) ended with a gain of 206 points at 9,915.
