Sensex up 207pts; ONGC, HUL lead

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 167 points at 18,215, and is now up 207 points at 18,254.

The Nifty is up 63 points at 5,340.

ONGC has soared 2.7% to Rs 1,048, and Hindustan Unilever (HUL) has surged 2.5% to Rs 222.

Tata Motors has rallied 2.3% to Rs 749. Bajaj Auto, ACC and ICICI Bank have advanced 2% each to Rs 2,245, Rs 772 and Rs 1,232, respectively.

Hindalco and Mahindra & Mahindra have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 187 and Rs 654, respectively.

BHEL, Tata Steel and Reliance have gained 1.5% each at Rs 2,252, Rs 834 and Rs 1,722, respectively.
