Sensex up 209pts; cements stocks still weak

The Sensex is now up 209 points at 13,147.

TCS, Wipro and Satyam have flared up over 5.5% each to Rs 1,256, Rs 593 and Rs 435, respectively.

HDFC Bank has rallied 5% to Rs 979. Larsen & Toubro, Infosys and Reliance Communications have soared around 4% each to Rs 1,551, Rs 2,165 and Rs 424, respectively.

ICICI Bank has advanced 2.5% to Rs 853. Tata Steel has gained nearly 2% at Rs 451.

Gujarat Ambuja has plunged 6.5% to Rs 109. Grasim and ACC have shed 5% each to Rs 2,100 and Rs 856, respectively.

Bajaj Auto has slipped over 3% to Rs 2,530. Hindalco, Hero Honda and Dr.Reddy's are down around 2% each at Rs 137, Rs 663 and Rs 664, respectively.

Out of 2,566 stocks traded so far, 1,469 have declined, 1,023 have advanced and 74 are unchanged.
