Sensex up 20pts; Infosys, TCS stand firm

The Sensex is now up 20 points at 13,419.

Infosys has surged 2.5% (Rs 52) to Rs 2,213. TCS has rallied 2% to Rs 1,096.

ONGC and Satyam have gained 1.5% each at Rs 884 and Rs 432, respectively. Ranbaxy up over 1% at Rs 402.

ONGC, Larsen & Toubro and Bharti Airtel are up 1% each at Rs 881, Rs 1,350 and Rs 571, respectively.

HLL has plunged 2.7% to Rs 246. NTPC and Hindalco have dropped 2.3% each to Rs 135 and Rs 178, respectively.

Grasim and Gujarat Ambuja have shed around 1.7% each to Rs 2,664 and Rs 135, respectively. Tata Steel is down 1.3% to Rs 491.

BHEL, Reliance Communications, Cipla and Maruti have declined over 1% each to Rs 2,450, Rs 399, Rs 266 and Rs 906, respectively.

Out of 2,564 stocks traded so far, 1,568 have declined, 916 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
