Reliance has surged 2.5% at Rs 2,668. BHEL has gained 2.2% at Rs 1,775.
Grasim has advanced 1.5% at Rs 2,321, while Mahindra & Mahindra has added 1.4% at Rs 662.
Tata Steel, Tata Motors, ITC and Larsen & Toubro are up 1.2% each to Rs 905, Rs 686, Rs 229 and Rs 3,007, respectively.
HDFC Bank has plunged 3.8% at Rs 1,409, and HDFC has tumbled 3.6% to Rs 2,676.
Rel Infra is down 2.3% at Rs 1,362. HUL and NTPC have shed 2.1% each to Rs 236 and Rs 182, respectively.
ICICI Bank has lost 1.8% to Rs 910.
Cipla, Hindalco and DLF are other major losers.
