Sensex up 20pts; Tata Steel, HDFC Bank gain

The Sensex opened a tad highger at 12,391, and then spurted to a high of 12,434.

The index is now up 20 points at 12,409.

Tata Steel and HDFC Bank have spurted over 1% each to Rs 544 and Rs 941, respectively.

Reliance Communications, Larsen & Toubro, TCS and Wipro are the other prominent gainers.

Infosys and Bajaj Auto are the notable losers.
