Sensex up 210pts; Bharti, ACC up 3%

The Sensex is now up 210 points at 14,213.

HDFC has zoomed nearly 4% to Rs 1,818. Tata Steel has surged 3% to Rs 612.

Bharti Airtel and ACC have rallied 2.7% each to Rs 819 and Rs 819, respectively.

Hindalco, Larsen & Toubro, SBI, BHEL, Grasim and Ranbaxy have gained around 2% each to Rs 164, Rs 1,913, Rs 1,318, Rs 1,337, Rs 2,407 and Rs 370, respectively.

Infosys has advanced nearly 2% to Rs 2,019. HDFC Bank, Reliance Energy, Dr.Reddy's, Reliance, Maruti and ONGC are the other major gainers.

Hero Honda has slipped over 2% to Rs 680.

Out of 2,503 stocks traded so far, 1,637 have advanced, 775 have declined and 91 are unchanged.
