Sensex up 211pts; HDFC surges 3%

The Sensex is now up 211 points at 13,831.

Satyam has soared nearly 5% to Rs 469. HDFC has surged 3% to Rs 1,611. Tata Motors has rallied 2.3% to Rs 730.

BHEL and Reliance Communications have advanced around 2% each to Rs 2,557 and Rs 443, respectively. Gujarat Ambuja has added 1.8% to Rs 116.

SBI, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Energy have gained 1.5% each at Rs 1,069, Rs 830 and Rs 513, respectively.
