Sensex up 212pts; Dr.Reddy's, Ranbaxy slip

The Sensex is now up 212 points at 15,304.

Hindalco has zoomed 6.5% to Rs 175. Reliance, ACC, Ambuja Cements and BHEL have soared around 3.5% each to Rs 1,779, Rs 1,109, Rs 131 and Rs 1,696, respectively.

Tata Motors has rallied nearly 3% to Rs 761. ITC, Mahindra & Mahindra and Tata Steel have surged around 2% each to Rs 156, Rs 820 and Rs 685, respectively.

TCS has shed 2% to Rs 1,138. Dr.Reddy's has slipped 1.5% to Rs 672.

Ranbaxy and Hindustan Unilever are down 1% each at Rs 355 and Rs 204, respectively.

Out of 2,687 stocks traded so far, 1,436 have advanced, 1,174 have declined and 77 are unchanged.
