Sensex up 212pts; M&M zooms 6%

The Sensex is now up 212 points at 15,334.

Mahindra & Mahindra has zoomed nearly 6% to Rs 714, and Maruti has soared 3.7% to Rs 864.

Tata Motors and NTPC have surged around 3.5% each at Rs 706 and Rs 172, respectively.

Ranbaxy and Reliance have gained 2.6% each at Rs 388 and Rs 1,957, respectively.

Tata Steel, ONGC and Reliance Energy have moved up 2.5% each to Rs 673, Rs 858 and Rs 785, respectively.

ICICI Bank, SBI and Hindalco Unilever have advanced 2% each to Rs 891, Rs 1,604 and Rs 206, respectively.

The market breadth is fairly positive - out of 2,505 stocks traded so far, 1,667 have advanced, 782 have declined and 56 are unchanged.
