Sensex up 213pts; ONGC, ICICI up 2%

The Sensex is now up 213 points at 18,261.

The Nifty is up 70 points at 5,347.

ONGC and Tata Motors have soared over 2% each to Rs 1,043 and Rs 748, respectively.

Hindalco and ACC have surged nearly 2% each to Rs 188 and Rs 770, respectively.

ICICI Bank and Satyam have gained 1.8% each at Rs 1,230 and Rs 434, respectively.

TCS, Reliance and Larsen & Toubro are the other major gainers at Rs 866, Rs 2,593 and Rs 3,561, respectively.
