Sensex up 214pts; Infosys up 3%

The Sensex is now up 214 points at 17193 points.

The NSE Nifty is up 59 points at 5,071.

Reliance Communications has gained 4.4% to Rs 584.

Infosys is trading at Rs 1884 - up 3%. ICICI Bank is up 2.8% to Rs 921.

Maruti, Jaiprakash Associates, L&T, DLF and BHEL  have gained over 2% to Rs 816,  Rs 265 and Rs 2,892 and Rs 635 and Rs 1,782 respectively.

Cipla, Reliance and Hindalco are up over 1.5% to Rs 212, Rs 2569 and Rs 195 respectively. Wipro, M&M, ACC and Reliance Infra are the other major gainers.

Satyam's is down 3 % to Rs 485. Tata Motors has declined 2.2% to Rs 658.

ITC and Bharti Airtel are down under half per cent each.
