Sensex up 215pts; Bharti Airtel slips 4%

The Sensex is now up 215 points at 15,572.

DLF has zoomed 6% to Rs 643. Jaiprakash (JP) Associates has soared 4.7% to Rs 229.

Satyam has surged 3.6% to Rs 377. ICICI Bank and Larsen & Toubro have rallied 2.7% each to Rs 861 and Rs 2,881, respectively.

NTPC, ITC and Tata Steel have moved up around 2.3% each to Rs 191, Rs 190 and Rs 713, respectively.

Hindalco and Reliance have gained 2% each at Rs 177 and Rs 2,286, respectively.

Reliance Energy and Infosys are up 1.7% each to Rs 1,218 and Rs 1,356, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has plunged 3.7% to Rs 750. Maruti and Mahindra & Mahindra have dropped nearly 3% each to Rs 815 and Rs 642, respectively.

BHEL is down 1.3% at Rs 1,858.

Out of 2,651 stocks traded so far, 1,589 have declined, 980 have advanced and 82 are unchanged.
