Sensex up 215pts; SBI, Reliance lead

The Sensex is now up 215 points at 14,343.

SBI has soared 3.4% to Rs 1,328. Reliance has surged 2.4% to Rs 1,674.

ACC, Grasim, ICICI Bank, Dr.Reddy's and TCS has rallied over 2% each to Rs 892, Rs 2,560, Rs 939, Rs 677 and Rs 1,249, respectively.

Bajaj Auto has gained 2% at Rs 2,734 following the announcement of a hefty dividend and board approval for 3-way demerger.

Maruti, Reliance Communications and Tata Steel have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 816, Rs 499 and Rs 598, respectively.

ITC has advanced 1.5% to Rs 166. Gujarat Ambuja, HDFC Bank, Reliance Energy, Infosys, NTPC, Bharti Airtel and Larsen & Toubro are the other major gainers.

Out of 2,631 stocks traded so far, 1,389 have advanced, 1,170 have declined and 72 are unchanged.
