The Sensex is now up 219 points at 11,528.
Satyam has zoomed over 9% to Rs 294. ICICI Bank has soared 6.8% to Rs 454.
Tata Power has surged over 5% to Rs 831. Infosys and Reliance Infrastructure have rallied 4.7% each to Rs 1,382 and Rs 630, respectively.
Wipro has gained 4% at Rs 295. Reliance, Hindustan Unilever and Bharti Airtel have advanced around 3.5% each to Rs 1,628, Rs 240 and Rs 764, respectively.
Jaiprakash Associates has moved up over 3% to Rs 83. Ranbaxy and DLF have added 2.7% each to Rs 282 and Rs 309, respectively.
Hindalco has plunged over 4% to Rs 85. Reliance Communications has tumbled 3.5% to Rs 273.
ONGC and HDFC Bank have shed 3% each at Rs 887 and Rs 1,145, respectively.
NTPC has dropped 2.7% to Rs 175, and Mahindra & Mahindra is down 2.3% at Rs 509.
Out of 2,644 stocks traded so far, 1,669 have advanced, 916 have declined and 59 are unchanged.
