Sensex up 219pts; Tata Motors zoom 5%

Profit taking at higher levels saw the Sensex pare some of its gains. The index touched a low of 9104, and is now up 219 points at 9148. The index had zoomed to a high of 9294 in opening trades.

Tata Motors has gained over 5% at Rs 694. Tata Steel and BHEL are up over 4% at Rs 401 and Rs 1,670, respectively.

Wipro, Infosys, Satyam, Reliance Energy, Gujarat Ambuja and ACC are up 3-4% each.

ONGC has slipped 1.3% to Rs 975.
