Sensex up 21pts; HLL, TCS perk up

The Sensex is now up 21 points at 11,499.

Cipla has advanced over 2% to Rs 250. Ranbaxy has added 1.5% to Rs 411, and Dr.Reddy's is up over 1% at Rs 1,505.

Maruti has spurted over 2% to Rs 837. Tata Motors has gained 1.8% at Rs 852.

ACC is up 1.5% at Rs 904. HLL and TCS are up over 1% each at Rs 238 and Rs 970, respectively.

Hindalco has dropped 2% to Rs 161. HDFC Bank has slipped 1.4% to Rs 837.

Tata Steel and Reliance Communications are down nearly 1% each to Rs 514 and Rs 292, respectively.

Out of 2,269 stocks traded so far, 1,195 have advanced, 994 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
