Sensex up 221pts; bank stocks rally

The Sensex touched a high of 13,871, and is now up 221 points at 13,852.

SBI has rallied 4.6% to Rs 1,203. ICICI Bank has soared over 4% to Rs 931, and HDFC Bank has added 3% to Rs 1,028.

TCS has surged 2.5% to Rs 1,309. Satyam has spurted 2% to Rs 490.

Tata Motors has moved up 1.7% to Rs 934. HDFC, Hindalco, Maruti and Infosys are up around 1.5% each at Rs 1,546, Rs 171, Rs 918 and Rs 2,212, respectively.
