Sensex up 22pts; breadth negative

The Sensex is now up 22 points at 14,828.

Ambuja Cements and ACC have soared around 3% each to Rs 129 and Rs 966, respectively. Grasim has gained 1% at Rs 2,731.

Hindustan Unilever has moved up nearly 2% to Rs 198. Tata Steel has advanced 1.4% to Rs 609.

BHEL has shed 1.3% to Rs 1,526. SBI, ONGC, Ranbaxy and HDFC Bank have declined around 1% each to Rs 1,564, Rs 878, Rs 361 and Rs 1,140, respectively.

The market breadth is negative - out of 2,149 stocks traded so far, 1,204 have declined, 890 have advanced and 55 are unchanged.
