Sensex up 22pts; Hindalco, L&T shine

The Sensex is now up 22 points at 11,594.

Hindalco and Larsen & Toubro have surged nearly 2% each to Rs 176 and Rs 2,394, respectively.

Reliance Energy, Ranbaxy and Grasim have added 1.5% each to Rs 453, Rs 394 and Rs 2,233, respectively.

Maruti, Hero Honda and SBI have advanced 1% each to Rs 842, Rs 721 and Rs 913, respectively.

HDFC has slipped 1.5% to Rs 1,260. Cipla and HDFC Bank are down 1% each at Rs 244 and Rs 842, respectively.

Out of 2,163 stocks traded so far, 1,370 have advanced, 729 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
