Sensex up 22pts; ITC slips 2%

The Sensex is now up 22 points at 10,717.

NTPC and HDFC have surged over 2.5% each to Rs 114 and Rs 1,160, respectively. Tata Motors has moved up 2% to Rs 802.

ACC, Satyam and SBI have gained around 1.7% each at Rs 794, Rs 732 and Rs 755, respectively.

Reliance Communications and ITC have declined 2% each to Rs 248 and Rs 180, respectively.

Ranbaxy and Larsen & Toubro are down 1.5% each at Rs 352 and Rs 2,230, respectively.

Out of 2,316 stocks traded so far, 1,199 have declined, 1,026 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
