Sensex up 230pts; Tata Steel soars 5%

The Sensex is now up 230 points at 19,001.

Tata Steel has zoomed nearly 5% to Rs 1,037. Reliance Energy has soared nearly 3% to Rs 1,696.

SBI has rallied 2.5% to Rs 1,992. Larsen & Toubro, Reliance and ACC have gained 2.3% each at Rs 3,538, Rs 2,688 and Rs 1,085, respectively.

HDFC, Satyam, NTPC and Reliance Communications have advanced 1.7% each to Rs 2,570, Rs 468, Rs 227 and Rs 763, respectively.

Hindalco, BHEL and ONGC have moved up 1.3% each to Rs 195, Rs 2,320 and Rs 1,128, respectively.

ITC and TCS are up almost 1% each at Rs 185 and Rs 1,060, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's has slipped 1.4% to Rs 606. Hindustan Unilever has declined over 1% to Rs 218.
