Sensex up 235pts; Maruti, Wipro up 3%

The Sensex is now up 235 points at 19,174.

HDFC Bank has zoomed nearly 4% to Rs 1,670, and ICICI Bank has soared 3.6% to Rs 1,167.

Maruti has surged over 3% to Rs 997. Wipro has rallied 2.7% to Rs 461.

SBI, ITC and HDFC have advanced 2% each to Rs 2,301, Rs 191 and Rs 2,761, respectively.

DLF and Mahindra & Mahindra have gained 1.5% each at Rs Rs 892 and Rs 721, respectively.

ACC and TCS have moved up 1.3% each to Rs 1,089 and Rs 988, respectively.

Hindustan Unilever, ONGC, Reliance and Tata Motors are up over 1% each.

Out of 2,802 stocks traded so far, 1,528 have advanced, 1,185 have declined and 89 are unchanged.
