Sensex up 23pts; breadth +ve

The Sensex is now up 23 points at 13,895.

ICICI Bank and Reliance have moved up over 1.5% each to Rs 905 and Rs 1,300, respectively.

Ranbaxy is up nearly 1% at Rs 417.

Maruti has shed 2.7% to Rs 941. Hindalco, Reliance Communications, Larsen & Toubro and ITC are down over 1% each to Rs 173, Rs 459, Rs 1,476 and Rs 167, respectively.

BHEL and HDFC Bank are the other prominent losers.

The market breadth is positive - out of 2,040 stocks traded so far, 1,491 have advanced, 508 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
