Sensex up 23pts; HDFC, HDFC Bank perk up

The Sensex touched a high of 14,024, and is now up 23 points at 13,989.

Ranbaxy, HDFC and HDFC Bank are up almost 1% each at Rs 399, Rs 1,695 and Rs 1,005, respectively.

Hero Honda is down nearly 1% at Rs 684.

Most of the other index stocks are trading on a flat note.
