Sensex up 23pts; Hindalco up 3%

The Sensex is now up 23 points at 20,215.

Hindalco has surged 2.7% to Rs 215.

HDFC Bank has advanced 2% to Rs 1,738, and ITC has added 1.8% to Rs 203.

Tata Steel and ICICI Bank have moved up over 1% each to Rs 904 and Rs 1,233, respectively.

Reliance Energy and Wipro are also up 1% each at Rs 2,134 and Rs 541, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has dropped 2.6% to Rs 957.

Bajaj Auto and Reliance Communications have slipped 1.3% each to Rs 2,648 and Rs 733, respectively.

Out 2,866 stocks traded so far, 2,095 have advanced, 737 have declined and 34 are unchanged.
