Sensex up 23pts; Satyam slips 3%

The Sensex is now up 23 points at 13,868.

Tata Motors has rallied 4.5% to Rs 880. Reliance Energy has surged 3% to Rs 557.

Larsen & Toubro and ACC have advanced around 2.5% each to Rs 1,413 and Rs 1,159, respectively. Maruti has moved up nearly 2% to Rs 970.

Grasim, Gujarat Ambuja and Ranbaxy are up over 1% each at Rs 2,795, Rs 145 and Rs 388, respectively.

Satyam has shed 2.7% to Rs 455. Wipro and HDFC Bank have declined 1.3% each to Rs 593 and Rs 1,107, respectively.

Out of 2,389 stocks traded so far, 1,498 have advanced, 833 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
