Sensex up 247pts; DLF, ICICI gains 3%

The Sensex is now up 247 points at 16,491.

The NSE Nifty is up 70 points at 4,957.

Infosys has soared 4.4% to Rs 1,670. Satyam has surged 3.3% to Rs 469. TCS has gained 2.5% at Rs 999, and Wipro has added 2.2% to Rs 457.

DLF and ICICI Bank have rallied over 3% each to Rs 642 and Rs 840, respectively.

SBI has advanced 2% to Rs 1,699, and HDFC Bank has moved up 1.7% to Rs 1,328.

Reliance Energy, HDFC and Bharti Airtel are up around 1.5% each at Rs 1,366, Rs 2,419 and Rs 818, respectively.
