Sensex up 24pts at 12,243

The Sensex is now up 24 points at 12,243.

Satyam has advanced 2.5% to Rs 771, and Bharti Tele has gained over 2% at Rs 418.

Hero Honda and Maruti have zoomed 2% each to Rs 847 and Rs 960, respectively.

Reliance Energy and Tata Power are also trading with smart gains.

Hindalco and HDFC have dropped 1.7% each to Rs 232 and Rs 1,284, respectively. Dr.Reddy's is down 1% at Rs 1,665.

Out of 2,407 stocks traded so far, 1,374 have advanced, 969 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
