Sensex up 24pts; HDFC Bank, Rel Comm firm

The Sensex is now up 24 points 13,884.

HDFC Bank and Reliance Communications have advanced over 1% each to Rs 1,071 and Rs 481, respectively.

Cipla has shed 1.7% to Rs 255, and BHEL is down 1.3% to Rs 2,296.

Out of 2,528 stocks traded so far, 1,276 have advanced, 1,175 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
