Sensex up 25 pts in early trades

The Sensex opened with a small gain of three points at 7,346 over its last close, and moved up to a high of 7,381 on selective buying in old and new economy stocks.

While the Sensex is now up 25 points at 7,368, the Nifty is up four points at 2,246.

Infosys, after a lacklustre performance in the last few sessions, has gained a per cent (Rs 17) to Rs 2,250. TCS and Wipro, too, are up a per cent each at Rs 1,317 and Rs 721, respectively.

ITC is up a per cent (Rs 10) at Rs 1,682, while Reliance is marginally up at Rs 679.

HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank are up a per cent each at Rs 643 (up Rs 6) and Rs 443 (up Rs 3), respectively. SBI, too, has resumed in the green at Rs 728.

Bajaj has advanced 1.61% (Rs 22) to Rs 1,420. Hero Honda (up Rs 6 to Rs 643) and Tata Motors (up Rs 3 to Rs 473) have added decent gains.

BHEL has gained 2% (Rs 18) to Rs 939.
