Sensex up 250 pts

The Sensex is steady at higher levels, and is now up 250 points (3%) at 8,473.

ONGC is now up 3% (Rs 29) at Rs 1,019, and SBI has moved up 2.7% (Rs 24) to Rs 914. Reliance is still up 4% (Rs 28) at Rs 777. HLL has gained Rs 6 to Rs 176, and ITC is steady at Rs 143 - up Rs 5.

Infosys has advanced  3.6% (Rs 86) to Rs 2,486. TCS is up Rs 52 at Rs 1,463. Wipro is steady at Rs 373 - up Rs 16.

ACC has gained 3% (Rs 15) to Rs 378. Gujarat Ambuja is still up 5% at Rs 73. Grasim is up Rs 11 at Rs 1,350.

Bharti is still up over 3% (Rs 12) at Rs 351. BHEL is steady at Rs 1,145 - up 4% (Rs 44).

HDFC is still up Rs 34 at Rs 990. Tata Steel is up Rs 13 at Rs 416. Reliance Energy, Hindalco and NTPC are still in positive zones.
