Sensex up 250pts

The Sensex is now up 250 points at 11,911.

NTPC has surged 4.5% to Rs 130. HDFC Bank has added 4.3% to Rs 877.

ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, Maruti and SBI have advanced 4% each to Rs 630, Rs 441, Rs 959 and Rs 969, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's has moved up 3.4% to Rs 736. HLL has gained 3% at Rs 236.

Bajaj Auto, Satyam, Larsen & Toubro and Reliance Energy have added 2.5% each.

Out of 2,569 stocks traded so far, 1,728 have advanced, 777 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
