The Sensex is now up 251 points at 13,822.
Sterlite has surged 10.6% to Rs 497. HDFC Bank and DLF have rallied above 3.8% each to Rs 1,287 and Rs 409 , respectively.
ICICI Bank has advanced over 3.3% to Rs 619. BHEL has gained 2.8% at Rs Rs 1,672.
Wipro has plunged over 3.4% to Rs 377, and Satyam has shed 1.7% at Rs 325.
Infosys is down 0.2% at Rs 1,540.
