Sensex up 25pts; HDFC zooms 4.5%

The Sensex is now up 25 points 12,392.

HDFC has surged 4.5% to Rs 1,512. ICICI Bank has rallied over 2% to Rs 703.

ONGC and Ranbaxy have gained around 1.5% each at Rs 1,203 and Rs 427, respectively.

SBI, HDFC Bank and Cipla have advanced 1% each to Rs 1,011, Rs 908 and Rs 267, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's, TCS, Satyam and Maruti have slipped over 1% each to Rs 729, Rs 1,030, Rs 822 and Rs 953, respectively.

The market breadth is positive - out of 2,296 stocks traded so far, 1,256 have advanced, 949 have declined and 91 are unchanged.
