Sensex up 25pts; M&M rallies 2%

The Sensex is now up 25 points at 19,628.

Tata Steel has surged 2.3% to Rs 858. Mahindra & Mahindra has rallied nearly 2% to Rs 765.

BHEL, DLF and Larsen & Toubro have moved up around 1.5% each to Rs 2,805, Rs 961 and Rs 4,238, respectively.

Infosys, Ambuja Cements and Reliance Communications are up over 1% each at Rs 1,620, Rs 154 and Rs 719, respectively.

ICICI Bank has shed 1.7% at Rs 1,145.

TCS and Reliance have slipped over 1% each to Rs 1,039 and Rs 2,900, respectively.

Out of 2,781 stocks traded so far, 1,959 have advanced, 765 have declined and 57 are unchanged.
