Sensex up 25pts; Satyam, Wipro weak

The Sensex is now up 25 points at 13,870.

ACC has saored 4.3% (Rs 49) to Rs 1,181. Grasim and Gujarat Ambuja are up over 1% each at Rs 2,788 and Rs 145, respectively.

Tata Motors has rallied over 4% to Rs 878. Maruti has gained 1% at Rs 962.

Reliance Energy has surged over 3% to Rs 557, and NTPC has advanced 2.3% to Rs 151. Larsen & Toubro has added 2% to Rs 1,405.

Reliance Communications and Ranbaxy are up 1% each at Rs 447 and Rs 387, respectively.

Satyam has shed 2.5% to Rs 455, and Wipro has slipped 1.7% to Rs 591.

HDFC Bank, HDFC and Hero Honda have slipped over 1% each to Rs 1,108, Rs 1,624 and Rs 762, respectively.

Out of 2,529 stocks traded so far, 1,504 have advanced, 956 have declined and 69 are unchanged.
