Sensex up 261pts; Maruti, HDFC Bank lead

The Sensex is now up 260 points at 11,921.

Maruti has surged 4.5% to Rs 963. HDFC Bank has rallied 4% to Rs 875.

Bharti Airtel, SBI, NTPC and Dr.Reddy's have advanced over 3.5% each to Rs 439, Rs 966, Rs 128 and Rs 736, respectively.

HLL, Satyam, Tata Motors and BHEL are up 3% each at Rs 236, Rs 807, Rs 878 and Rs 2,292, respectively.

Out of 2,518 stocks traded so far, 1,792 have advanced, 662 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
