Sensex up 264pts; L&T, Tata Motors surge

The Sensex is now up 264 points at 14,274.

There are no losers among the index stocks.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and Tata Motors have surged 4% each to Rs 1,680 and Rs 884, respectively.

ICICI Bank and Bharti Airtel have advanced 3% each to Rs 943 and Rs 783, respectively.

HDFC, HDFC Bank, Satyam, Gujarat Ambuja and Maruti have rallied around 2.5% each to Rs 1,728, Rs 1,043, Rs 476, Rs 134 and Rs 878, respectively.

HLL, Grasim, Wipro, TCS, BHEL and Infosys are up over 2% each.
