Sensex up 264pts; Rel Energy surges 7%

The Sensex is now up 264 points at 15,074.

The NSE Nifty is up 95 points at 4,598.

Reliance Energy has soared 7% to Rs 1,274. BHEL has surged nearly 5% to Rs 1,884.

Reliance Communications and Ranbaxy have rallied 4.5% each to Rs 504 and Rs 457, respectively.

Wipro, TCS and ICICI Bank have advanced around 4% each to Rs 370, Rs 823 and Rs 787, respectively.

HDFC and DLF have moved up 3.7% each to Rs 2,310 and Rs 625, respectively.

Satyam and Hindustan Unilever have added 3.5% each to Rs 379 and Rs 230, respectively.

HDFC Bank and Mahindra & Mahindra are down around 1.5% each at Rs 1,220 and Rs 628, respectively.

Out of 2,675 stocks traded so far, 1,767 have declined, 849 have advanced and 59 are unchanged.
