The Sensex is now up 266 points at 11,577.
Satyam has zoomed nearly 10% to Rs 295, and ICICI Bank has soared 8.5% to Rs 461.
Tata Power has surged 8% to Rs 838. TCS and Reliance Infrastructure have rallied 5.8% each to Rs 609 and Rs 637, respectively.
Infosys has moved up 5.5% to Rs 1,391, and Jaiprakash Associates has added 5% to Rs 85.
Reliance has moved up 4.7% to Rs 1,645. Larsen & Toubro and Hindustan Unilever have advanced around 4% each to Rs 1,029 and Rs 241, respectively.
Hindalco has plunged 3.7% to Rs 86. ONGC has dropped over 3% to Rs 886.
HDFC Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra and NTPC have slipped around 2.5% each to Rs 1,150, Rs 508 and Rs 175, respectively.
Reliance Communications has shed 1.7% at Rs 278, and ITC is down 1.5% at Rs 168.
Out of 2,615 stocks traded so far, 1,777 have advanced, 780 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
