Sensex up 269pts; HDFC, Tata Motors rally

The Sensex is now up 269 points at 14,518.

All index stocks are in positive zone.

Ambuja Cements has soared 4% to Rs 136. ACC and Grasim have surged around 3% each to Rs 984 and Rs 2,805, respectively.

Tata Motors and HDFC have rallied around 3.5% each to Rs 641 and Rs 1,967, respectively. Larsen & Toubro has zoomed 3% to Rs 2,455.

BHEL has moved up 2.8% to Rs 1,714. Hindalco and ITC have gained 2.5% each at Rs 143 and Rs 162, respectively.

SBI and Reliance Energy have advanced over 2% each to Rs 1,489 and Rs 739, respectively.

Bharti Airtel, Satyam, Reliance Communications and Infosys have added 1.7% each to Rs 863, Rs 425, Rs 504 and Rs 1,820, respectively.

NTPC, Ranbaxy, HDFC Bank, Reliance and Tata Steel are up around 1.5% each to Rs 163, Rs 360, Rs 1,137, Rs 1,794 and Rs 577, respectively.
