Sensex up 26pts; ICICI Bank, SBI slip

The Sensex is now up 26 points at 11,615.

ACC has rallied nearly 3% to Rs 913. Gujarat Ambuja has surged 2.6% to Rs 111, and Grasim is up 1.8% at Rs 2,240.

Infosys has gained 1% at Rs 3,199.

ICICI Bank, Maruti and SBI have dropped 1.7% each to Rs 590, Rs 879 and Rs 962, respectively.

Wipro has shed 1.4% to Rs 533.

The market breadth is positive. Out of 2,131 stocks traded so far, 1,369 have moved up, 724 have declined and 38 are unchanged.

Gujarat Ambuja Exports has zoomed 14.5% to Rs 28.35. Birla Global, GTC Industries, Coral Labs, Arvind Remedies, Tide Water, Opto Circuit, Sterlite Optical and Hindustan Zinc are the other major gainers.

Astrazenca Pharma has plunged over 7% to Rs 2,968. Malu Paper, NRB Bearings, Shoppers Stop, Mindteck, Adhunik Metallic, Sah Petroleum, Suzlon, HMT, GMDC and IBP are the other major losers.
