Sensex up 274pts; Maruti, L&T lead

The Sensex is now up 274 points at 14,284.

Maruti and Larsen & Toubro have rallied around 4% each to Rs 892 and Rs 1,677, respectively. Gujarat Ambuja has added 3.6% to Rs 136.

Cipla, Infosys, Hero Honda, Satyam and HLL have moved up around 3% each to Rs 252, Rs 2,359, Rs 735, Rs 478 and Rs 206, respectively.

Out of 2,544 stocks traded so far, 2,069 have advanced, 436 have declined and 39 are unchanged.
