Sensex up 276pts at 12,691

The Sensex is now up 276 points at 12,691.

The Sensex is now up 252 points at 12,667.

Wipro has soared 7.6% to Rs 578, and Infosys has surged 6.7% to Rs 2,141. Satyam and TCS have rallied around 5% each to Rs 436 and Rs 1,220, respectively.

ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel and ACC have flared up around 3.5% each to Rs 851, Rs 716 and Rs 842, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro has advanced over 3% to Rs 1,429, and Reliance has added 2.8% to Rs 1,294.

NTPC and Hindalco have plunged around 3% each to Rs 133 and Rs 130, respectively. Hero Honda has slipped over 2% to Rs 670.

Out of 2,560 stocks traded so far, 1,474 have declined, 1,042 have advanced and 44 are unchanged.
