Sensex up 279pts; BHEL, Maruti rally 5%

The Sensex is now up 279 points at 13,225.

BHEL has soared over 5% to Rs 2,215. Maruti has surged nearly 5% to Rs 830, and ONGC has rallied over 4% to Rs 848.

SBI, ICICI Bank, HLL and Larsen & Toubro have advanced around 3.5% each to Rs 1,018, Rs 901, Rs 197 and Rs 1,553, respectively.

HDFC Bank and TCS have moved up around 3% each to Rs 995 and Rs 1,303, respectively. Hero Honda has added 2.5% to Rs 667.

Grasim has slipped over 1% to Rs 2,079.

Out of 2,470 stocks traded so far, 1,630 have advanced, 764 have declined and 76 are unchanged.
